William D. "Bill" Keeshan, 81 of Albion, NE passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at The Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE.
Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Albion, NE with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #162 and VFW Post #736 of Albion, NE, and the Army Funeral Honor Guard. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time.
Levander Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
William "Bill" Dean Keeshan, son of Alfred and Florence (Kelly) Keeshan was born on March 16, 1938 at Albion, NE. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion, NE. Bill graduated from Albion High School in 1956. Following high school, he moved to Omaha and worked for Continental Can and joined the Army Reserves.
On October 19, 1962 Bill was united in marriage to Karen Young in Logan, IA. They lived in Albion, where Bill ran his own trucking company. To this union three children, Sherry, Kevin, and Julie, were born.
Bill was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Albion, NE. He enjoyed going to the Stock Car Races, as well as the horse races in Columbus and Grand Island. Bill also enjoyed camping and loved animals.
Bill is survived by his wife Karen of Omaha, NE; three children Sherry (Jay) Laseman of Omaha, NE; Kevin (Denise) Keeshan of Lincoln, NE; Julie (Eric) Rasmussen of Gretna, NE; grandson Shaun (Lacey) Keeshan; grandchildren: Kaydence, Teagen Rasmussen, and Austin Keeshan; great-grandson Grady Keeshan; brother Gary Keeshan of Columbus, NE; sister Janelle Meyers of Columbus, NE; and sister-in-law MaryAnn Keeshan of Tool, TX; along with many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jim, sister-in-law Diane Keeshan, brother-in-law David Meyers, and nephew James "Junior" Keeshan.
