Wayne C. Buller, son of Cornelius and Malinda (Franz) Buller was born March 22, 1936, on the family farm in Lushton, NE. He was baptized and later confirmed at Friend Bible Church in Friend, NE. He attended grade school in Lushton, NE before going to high school in Grafton, NE where he graduated in May of 1954. Following high school, Wayne attended Northwestern Bible College for one year in Minnesota. He joined the U.S Army in 1956. He honorably served in Korea until his discharge in 1958.

On June 3, 1961, Wayne married Wanda Oliver in Prescott, AZ. From this union, Wayne was blessed with four children. They lived in California and Washington, until they came back to Nebraska.

On November 19, 1982, Wayne was united in marriage to Beverly (Young) Henrichs at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE. From this union, he gained six stepchildren. The couple lived in Albion, NE and Ericson, NE.

Wayne was a salesman by trade and made his way up the "corporate ladder". In 1959 Wayne started as a Teller at Home Savings and Loan. He then was an insurance agent and worked in sales for a few years before becoming the office manager at Henderson Irrigation in 1973. Then in 1976 he took over as the owner of Columbus Agriculture Sales until 1981. He then returned to sales again briefly before becoming the owner of B & W Sales from 1983-1984 and Satellite Video from 1984 – 1985. Wayne had that itch to return to sales in 1986. In 1987 he became the owner of Sentinel Building Systems. It started in the couples' basement soon grew to an office downtown and then to the manufacturing plant that people know today. He sold the business in 2001 and become the president until 2002 when he officially retired. This would not have been possible without the employees who served with him, being able to leave such a legacy to the community.

Wayne was a member of the Federated Church in Columbus, NE, Sandhills Baptist Church in Ericson, NE, First Baptist Church in Albion, NE, and Saving Grace Bible Church in Albion, NE. Wayne was very active in his community. He became a Deacon, lead several events, and was a Bible study leader at Ericson Lake.
