Virginia A. Krohn

Virginia A. Krohn, 92, of Albion, NE passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE with Rev. Carolann Hopcke officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at church.

Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Ann Krohn, daughter of Ernest and Dorothy (Woods) Nelson was born on January 25, 1930 in Omaha, NE.  She attended school at District #63 near Bradish, NE and graduated from Albion High School.  Following that, she spent 3 years teaching at District #44.

On February 15, 1950 Virginia was united in marriage to William John Krohn at Denver, CO  They made their home on a farm west of Albion where they lived until 1996 when they moved to town.  Virginia loved working at home taking care of her family.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE.  Virginia was active in the church and the women's group, as well as leading and attending Bible Study.  She was also a member of the Boone County Hospital Auxiliary, who did sewing and mending at the hospital.  Virginia loved to cook and bake and was also ready for any visitors that might stop by for coffee or a meal.  She also enjoyed sewing, puzzles, spending time with family.

Virginia is survived by her three children: Charles (Cheryl); Ronald (Nancee); Nancy (Terry) Ahlers all of Albion, NE; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Jeannice Nelson, Marie Krohn, and LaVonne Mills all of Albion, NE; Myrna Krohn of Omaha, NE; brother-in-law Donald (Mary) Krohn of Kansas City, KS; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws William and Emma Krohn; husband Bill; brother Richard Nelson; brothers-in-law: Pete Mills, Jim Krohn, Roy (Irma) Short, Bob Krohn, and Ed (Thelma) Krohn.
