Violet Marie Molczyk

Violet M. Molczyk, 97 of Spalding, NE, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE with Fr. Lawrence Vadakkan officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Spalding, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.

Violet Marie Molczyk, daughter of John and Emma (Dolman) Sorby, was born on March 27, 1925 at Riverside, MN. Vi was baptized on October 10, 1958 at St. George Catholic Church in Seattle, WA.

On October 11, 1958 Vi was united in marriage to Raymond Louis Molczyk at St. George's Catholic Church. The couple lived in Washington, and later in Nebraska and Arizona. Following Ray's retirement the couple settled in Spalding, NE. Vi later spent the last few years living at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Vi was a simple, down to earth kind of lady. She loved to read western themed books and listen to the radio. She was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE.

Vi is survived by two sisters-in-law: Katherine Molczyk of Western, NE; Colleen Molczyk of Avondale, AZ; brother-in-law John Arthur of Clarks, NE; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Raymond.
