Trent Alan Kyncl, son of Ardell Alvin and Marsha Kay (Long) Kyncl, was born July 17, 1980 at Columbus, NE. He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church at Platte Center, NE, attended Sunday school and was confirmed at St. Paul (Buffalo Creek) Lutheran Church rural Tilden, NE. Trent attended elementary school in Newman Grove and graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1999. He received an associate's degree from Northeast Community College and a bachelor's degree from Wayne State College. He worked at the Norfolk Veterans Home before his love for teaching interested him in being a counselor at the Lutheran Boys and Girls Camp. That summer experience caused him to pursue a career in helping youth at the Boys and Girls Home in Columbus, NE. Trent worked there until it closed. He began working with his brother Adam at the Sears Hometown store in Norfolk, where he discovered his knack for conversation served him well in sales.
On August 13, 2016 Trent married his soulmate, Audrey Marie Hoesing at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk, NE. They made their home in Madison, NE where they shared their many similar interests: their old house, antiques, their love of movies, history, their nieces and nephews and classic cars. They enjoyed camping and took many adventures in ole Bessy (Trent's 1982 GMC Sierra dually that he loved) pulling the camper.
Trent had a passion for airplanes, ships and WWII era history, all inspired by his grandfather. He loved it so much, he wanted to enlist, however, health problems prevented him to do so. Instead, he joined the World War 2 Guys, a reenactment group based out of the Omaha area that reenacts battles and educates the public on WWII history. Trent also loved listening to classic rock, having a good conversation with anyone, and most of all helping others. He had a real knack at seeing the good in people, even in their darkest times.
Adversity was something Trent dealt with most of his life. There were many things that challenged him, but each and every time, he faced them head on, with a positive attitude and a smile. Throughout his life, he took the opportunity to teach many things to many people, but the most important lesson he taught was through his example of how to live life as a kind, loving and caring person.
Trent's giving personality and witty humor will be missed by his wife Audrey of Madison, NE: parents Ardell and Marsha Kyncl of Newman Grove, NE; brother Adam (Kendra) Kyncl of Norfolk, NE; niece and nephews Riya, Kasyn, and Briggs Kyncl of Norfolk, NE; father-in-law and mother-in-law Elmer and Jane Hoesing of Coleridge, NE; sister-in-law: Melinda (Jeff) Burbach of Crofton, NE; nieces Adley and Everleigh of Crofton, NE; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Vernon and Ruth Long, Alvin Kyncl and Doris Kyncl; his sister Elizabeth Kyncl, brother-in-law Jerome Hoesing, and uncle Jeff Long.
