There will be a Graveside Service for the burial of Tanner's ashes at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.

Tanner John Pelster, 24, of Albion, NE, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 as a result of a work accident near Albion, NE.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2021 at the Boone County Event Center in Albion, NE with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE. Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Boone County Event Center. Social distancing and current Covid-19 DHM's effective will be followed at the services and masks are requested.

The family is requesting that you wear a racing t-shirt in honor of Tanner's love of racing.  Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Tanner John Pelster, son of Delmer D. and Dee (Rieck) Pelster was born on January 18, 1997 at Albion, NE.  He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Albion, NE.  He attended school and graduated from Boone Central School in 2015. Following high school Tanner worked as a farmhand for his uncle and aunt Randy and Brenda Pelster.  He was currently working for Niewohner Farms as an Irrigation Technician.

On November 30, 2020 Tanner made a life decision to abstain from alcohol, he was very proud of this accomplishment and his whole family was proud of him as well, and excited for this new life.  Tanner grew up at the Boone County Raceway, watching his father and other relatives and friends racing.  As soon as he was able, he was behind the wheel with them.  He also drove in the chain car race at the Boone County Fair, with his best friend Bryan Bruland following behind him, trusting him to lead the way.  In addition to stock car racing, Tanner enjoyed farming, guns, tractor pulls, and antique tractors.  He has a collection of toy tractors.  Tanner also loved spending time with his family and was the best uncle to his nieces and nephews, and the best friend to his sisters.

Tanner was a member of the United Methodist Church in Albion, the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department, and the Rae Valley Heritage Association.

Tanner is survived by his parents Delmer and Dee of Albion, NE; four sisters, four brothers-in-law, and 10 nieces and nephews: Stacey and Casey Slaymaker, and children Mishayla, Brayden, and Beckett of Albion, NE: Kelly and Adam Seier, and children Peyton, Cooper, and Gracyn of Petersburg, NE; Nicole and Jason Borer, and children Kinley and Noah of Albion, NE; Taylor and Jay Colson, and children Reed and Quinn of Osceola, NE; grandparents: Delmer and Pauline Pelster of Petersburg, NE; Betty (Rieck) and Ray Chvatal of Wahoo, NE; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends, and his racing family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Denny Rieck; and great-grandparents Chuck and Kathryn Hammond, Adolph and Sophie Pelster, Lee and Gesine Morris.
