Stephen G. Zessin

Stephen G. Zessin, 58, of Shelby, NE formerly of Arvada, CO, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Omaha, NE.

There will be a private family service with burial at Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE.

Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Stephen George Zessin, son of Earl and Nancy (Larson) Zessin was born on August 7, 1962 at Wheatridge, Colorado. He graduated from Arvada High School in 1981.  Stephen worked for the United State Post Office in Colorado. He also took care of his mother who had Multiple Sclerosis for many years.  He was also employed at the Exempla Nursing Home in Colorado where he received Employee of the Month several times.

On September 4, 2008 Stephen was married to Mike Goodrich in Los Angeles, California.  The couple was later divorced but remained friends.  Stephen was a very kind soul and was willing to help anyone.  He enjoyed fishing and collecting antiques.

Stephen is survived by his brother Scott Zessin; two sisters: Sheri Goddard and Sarah Hoage; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and special cousin Debbie (Paul) Grubaugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Susan Ternus, and niece Faith Goddard.
