Sharon E. King, 83, of Newman Grove, NE, passed away Friday, November 14, 2025, at Mid Nebraska Lutheran Home, Newman Grove, NE.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 21, 2025, at Fellowship Bible Church, Newman Grove, NE with Pastor Chris Phelps officiating. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the church.

Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove, NE is in charge of the arrangements.

Sharon Esther (Hendrickson) King, daughter of Tillman and Esther (Thompson) Hendrickson, was born July 14, 1942, in Newman Grove, Nebraska. She was baptized at Immanuel-Zion Lutheran South Branch Church and attended school in Newman Grove, graduating from Newman Grove High School.

On June 4, 1961, Sharon was united in marriage to Dean King at Immanuel-Zion Lutheran South Branch Church. The couple made their home in Newman Grove, where Sharon worked for more than 20 years at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home. She also cleaned at the Methodist Church and spent many years as an Avon representative, earning numerous Presidential Awards. Sharon later owned and operated King's Konsignments and Kollectables for five years—a business she truly loved.

Sharon was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She generously shared her talents through quilting and knitting, creating cherished pieces for family and friends, as well as countless blankets for Project Linus.

Sharon is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dean of Newman Grove, NE; three children: Denise (Pat) Haecker of Lincoln, NE, Debbie (John) Ramaekers of Lindsay, NE, and Brian (Angela) King of Columbus, NE; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren: Nicole Haecker of Bellevue, NE; Cameron (Emma) Haecker of Lincoln, NE; Aaron (Natti) Ramaekers and daughters Colette and Clare of Castle Rock, CO; Amber (Nathan) Schaaf and children Kyler, Karter, and Kaizley of Stuart, NE; April (Brian) Barelmann and sons Owen and Weston of O'Neill, NE; Trevor King of Columbus, NE; and Savannah (Cody) Garbers and daughter Paisley of Columbus, NE. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Paul Kipper of Henderson, NV, and Merle Nelsen of Newman Grove, NE; sister-in-law DeAnna (Rodger) Langemeier of Fremont, NE; along with many cousins, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sara; sisters, LaRue Kipper and LoJean Nelsen; sister-in-law Donna Rae Michael; and brothers-in-law Don King and Duane Michael.
