Sharon Lee Grape

Sharon L. Grape, 79, of Albion, NE, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Fatih Regional Hospital in Norfolk, NE.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 20, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, Albion, NE with Rev. Keith Brich officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE.

Sharon Lee Grape, daughter of Gilbert Howard and Bertha Alice (Elwell) Brown, was born October 9, 1945, in Lynn, MA. She attended Lincoln Public Schools in Melrose, MA. She later received her GED.

On August 17, 1962, Sharon married Merle Clair Grape at the Platte County Courthouse. The couple made their home in Boone County between St. Edward and Albion where they raised their four wonderful children. Sharon worked at the Shopper, the candy shop Brass Balloon, and Boone Central Schools.

Sharon was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albion, NE. She was a part of various organizations within the Baptist church. Sharon enjoyed adult coloring books, games on her tablet and spending quality time with family and especially her grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her four children: Lori (Corey) Mann of Seward, NE; Steve (Sheila) Grape, Mike (Jenni) Grape, Jeff (Sarah) Grape all of Albion, NE; 13 grandchildren: Morgan (Travis) Rathjen; Tyler (Taylor) Mann; Nikki (Brad Spicknall) Grape; Stephanie (Kyle) Thorin; Isaac (Brittney) Reader; Brooke (Warren) Myers; Emma (Justin) Bounds; Dana Grape; William Grape; Samuel Grape; Carsen (Weston) Choat; Shalee Grape; Gabe Grape; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister: Carole Grape of Columbus, NE; two sisters-in-law: Lorraine Brown of North Andover, MA; Lora Grape of St. Edward, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Merle in 2003; brothers: Eddie, Carl, and Howard Brown; brothers-in-law: Cecil and Ron Grape; one niece and one nephew.
