Rosie was born December 23, 1930, to Leonard and Loretta (Moran) O'Neill. Rosie grew up in Spalding, NE, which she called "God's Country," with her two sisters Betty and Judy. Rosie married Bernard Diessner November 7, 1949. They were blessed with two children, Jerry and Patsy. Rosie was hard-working and was known throughout the community through her work at the Sale Barn, Dairy Sweet, selling fireworks every year for 40 years, and working at People's Servce/Jimmy K's C-Store in Spalding.
After Bernard passed away, Rosie married Joe Diessner, August 1986. Those who knew Rosie can attest to her honesty - she told it like it was, her selflessness - she was always ready to lend a hand, her faith - she never missed a Sunday mass, and sense of humor - she was always ready with a witty joke.
Left to cherish Rosie's memory are her daughter: Patsy Gerlach of Grand Island, NE; daughter-in-law: Ellen Diessner of Salt Lake City, UT; sister: Betty Hitchler of Spalding, NE; grandchildren: Jamie (Mike) Menagh; Patrick (Robyn) Diessner; seven great-grandchildren: Riley, Bria, Caden, Gideon, Alec, Kiana, and Credence; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Awaiting Rosie's arrival in Heaven were her parents; husband: Bernard Diessner; second husband: Joe Diessner; son: Jerry; beloved granddaughter: Cristy; and sister: Judy Bumgardner.
Rosie is loved very much and will be greatly missed. When God took her back, he said, "Hallelujah, you're home."
