Rosalena A. Pospisil, 98, of Newman Grove, NE, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Newman Grove, NE with Pastor Claire Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE. There will be a lunch at Trinity Lutheran church following the burial.

Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Rosalena Anna Pospisil, daughter of Silas and Katherine (Borgelt) Miller was born on June 15, 1926 seven miles north of Newman Grove, NE. She was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, south of Emerick, NE and later confirmed on June 1, 1941. Rosalena attended elementary school at District #29 in Madison County before going to Newman Grove High School where she graduated with the class of 1945.

On June 28, 1945, Rosalena married Melvin Pospisil at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, south of Emerick, NE. From this union Rosalena was blessed with two daughters. The couple primarily lived in Newman Grove, NE, except for a few years where they lived in Howells, NE. Rosalena worked at Barton's Variety Store in Newman Grove for 21 years and then co-owned Mel's Plumbing and Variety with her husband for 10 years.

Rosalena was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove, NE since the late 1950's. In her free time, she enjoyed cross stitching and quilting. She especially loved spending time with her loved ones and making long lasting memories with them.

Rosalena is survived by her daughter: Elaine Jennum of Lenexa, KS; two grandsons: Chad (Traci) Christian of Omaha, NE; Christopher (Erin) Jennum of Lee's Summit, MO; two granddaughters: Amber (Tim) Owens of Council Bluffs, IA; Andrea (Matt) Shumway of Lee's Summit, MO; 9 great-grandchildren: Brooke Christian;  Tiffany Christian; Devon Owens; Brantley Owens; Will Jennum; Ryleigh Jennum; Juliet Jennum; Caleb Shumway; Molly Shumway; great-great-daughter Brooke Idhe; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Melvin in 1987; daughter: Diane Christian; son-in-law: Michael Jennum; great-granddaughter Cami Christian; two brothers: Lawrence and Fred Miller; two sisters: Alvina Kezlan and Doris Kyncl.
