Ronald L. Stone, 79, of Lindsay, NE, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at his home in Lindsay, NE.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Looking Glass Methodist Church, rural Newman Grove, NE with Pastor Terry Buol officiating. Inurnment will follow at Looking Glass Cemetery, rural Newman Grove, NE.

Ronald Loyd Stone, son of Loyd and Marvel (Nelson) Stone, was born August 10, 1945, in Genoa, NE. He was baptized and confirmed at Looking Glass Church, rural Newman Grove, NE. Ron attended District #40 until the 8th grade, he then went to Newman Grove High School and graduated with the class of 1963. On July 12, 1965, Ron enlisted in the US National Guard and served until his discharge on July 11, 1971.
On November 27, 1976, Ron married Linda Marie Hadcock at St, Isidore's Catholic Church in Columbus, NE. The couple made their home on the family farm south of Lindsay until April of 1997 when they moved into Lindsay. Ron was a hard-working man. He farmed until 1991 when he sold the farm and began driving truck.
Ron was a member of Looking Glass Church as well as the President of the Walker Township. He enjoyed eagles and Peterbilt semi-trucks. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's activities.
Ron is survived by three daughters: Shelly (Travis) Petersen of Lindsay, NE; Dawn (Matthew) Labenz of St. Edward, NE; Angela (Brian) Ficke of Pleasant Dale, NE; three grandsons: Darren Petersen; Anthony and Liam Petersen; two granddaughters: Rosella Labenz; Laura Ficke; one sister: Sue (Vern) Podliska of Columbus, NE; three brothers-in-law: Mike (Linda) Hadcock of Mahaska, KS; Scott (Holly) Hadcock of Sargent, NE; Greg (Donna) Hadcock of LaVista, NE; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife: Linda Stone in October 2020.
