Roberta "Bert" Diane Marsh

Roberta "Bert" D. Marsh, 73, of St. Edward, NE, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in St. Edward, NE with Rev. Brian Ketelsen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery, Treynor, IA. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at Miller-Levander Funeral Home in St. Edward, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.

Roberta "Bert" Diane Marsh, daughter of Robert J. and Virginia R. (Niehaus) Auracher, was born on February 16, 1946 in Kansas City, MO. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Bert attended school in Treynor, IA and graduated from Treynor High School in 1963. As a high school student, Bert was able to march in the high school band in the Orange Bowl. Following her high school graduation, Bert took classes at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and worked in the banking industry.

On March 27, 1987, Bert was united in marriage to George L. Marsh in Topeka, KS. Following her marriage to George, Bert worked at and later retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Kansas in Topeka. She later moved to St. Edward, NE where she was an assistant city clerk and managed TJ's Bar. Bert enjoyed playing bingo and having fun at casinos. She is remembered by her family as being a feisty, but caring individual.

Those left to cherish her memory include her five children: Stephanie (Randy) Van Meter of Caldwell, ID; Melanie (Ted) Buettner of St. Edward, NE; Patricia Holdren of St. Edward, NE; Diane Holdren of Kansas City, MO; Brenda (Bill) Komma of Topeka, KS; four step-children: Carrie O'Brien of Lincoln, NE; Danny Marsh of Lincoln, NE; Ricky (Joleen) Marsh of Lincoln, NE; Piper (Ricardo) Porras of Bellevue, NE; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; George Marsh and John Holdren; one grandchild: Christina Lincoln; and one great-grandson: Logan Harrelson.
