Robert V. Watts, 97, of Cedar Rapids, NE passed away Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society, Albion, NE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 4, 2024, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE with Fr. Matt Gutowski officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, NE with Military Rites conducted by Dan Cox American Legion Post #44 of Cedar Rapids, NE, Army Funeral Honors Guard, and the American Legion Riders. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Levander Funeral Home, Albion, NE.

Robert Vernon Watts, son of Warner Watts and Emma (Voboril) Watts Farlee was born March 15, 1927, at rural Primrose, NE. He received his education from Primrose School. In April 1946, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served until the following April when he was honorably discharged.
On October 25, 1949, Bob was united in marriage to Rita Mae Rutten at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE. The couple made their home in the Cedar Rapids area where they raised their two sons. Bob was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, American Legion Post #44, Knights of Columbus, and was on the volunteer fire department as well as being an EMT.
Bob is survived by his son: Robert "Bunky" (Joan) Watts of Cedar Rapids, NE; one granddaughter Amy (Lonnie) Meyer of Bertrand, NE; two great-grandchildren: Jacob Hilmer of Albion, NE and Jordan Hilmer of Newman Grove, NE; along with many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Rita Watts; son: William "Swatt" Watts; grandson: Christopher Watts; brother: James (Geraldine) Watts; and sister: Donna (Ed) Heany; and nephew Tom Watts.
