Robert W. Shaw

Robert W. Shaw, 67, of Payson, AZ, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 29, 2025, after a battle with cancer.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert W. Shaw, son of Robert "Bob" and Julia "Judy" (Martin) Shaw, was born June 6, 1957, in O'Neill, NE. He attended District #72 in Loretto, NE then District #49 east of Albion before graduating from Albion High School in 1975.

Bob loved the outdoors. He tended to his garden and enjoyed canning and sharing his cooking skills with those around him. Bob was an excellent cook. He catered and enjoyed making new meals for the Warming Center in Payson, AZ. He was a member of the Son's of the American Legion. He had a passion for the American Legion and all the members, especially his Arizona sister, Cathy.  Bob's faith and the care from his Arizona sister, Cathy carried him through his battle.

Bob is survived by his siblings: Laurie Coughtry of Columbus, NE; Mary Shaw of Albion, NE; Ruby (Jim) Prothman of West Point, NE; Helen (John) Majerus of Cedar Rapids, NE; Ed Shaw of Kansas City, MO; Cathy (Sherman) Alston of Payson, AZ; numerous nieces, nephews, American Legion family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and one niece.
