Robert "Bob" J. Nolan

Robert "Bob" J. Nolan, 71 of Albion, NE passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021 at his home.

A Celebration of Bob's Life with be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Cardinal Inn Event Center in Albion, NE from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. A private family service will be held with inurnment at Grandview Cemetery in Spalding, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Robert Joseph Nolan, son of Keith Moneo and Eleanor Jane (Sweeney) Nolan was born on April 14, 1950 at Burke, South Dakota.  He attended school at Albion Public School.  Bob joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Following his time in the service he returned home and worked for his father's mechanic shop.

On January 26, 1972, Bob was united in marriage to Mary Evonne Anson at the courthouse in Yankton, SD. They were blessed with two sons: Michael and Brian. They lived various places until finding their permanent home in Albion, NE where Bob worked as mechanic for Nolan Motors.  Bob co-founded Boone County Concrete, and he and Mary worked there together for over 30 years.

Bob was a hard worker and took great pride in his work and community through his business at Boone County Concrete. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by two sons: Michael (Shane) Nolan of Seward, NE; Brian (Mamie) Nolan of Albion, NE; nine grandchildren: Tiger Nolan of Fort Worth, TX; Devin Nolan of Winona, MN; Kira, Rory, Zander and Ian Nolan of Seward, NE; Brianna Nolan of Gibbon, NE and Emery and Evonne Nolan of Albion, NE; brother David (Vickie) Nolan of Red Cloud, NE; sister Linda (Larry) Molt of St. Edward, NE; sister-in-law Leslie (Jim) Kelsay of Grand Island, NE; two brothers-in-law: Joe Anson of Spalding, NE; Art Anson of Grand Island, NE; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary; his parents; his parents-in-law Bernard and Marion Anson; sister Sally Patzel; brothers Jim Nolan and Daniel Nolan; and sister-in-law Teri Richards.
