Richard "Dick" Marsceau, 91, went to his heavenly home, on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Fellowship Bible Church in Newman Grove, NE at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2022, with Pastor Richard Marsceau officiating. Richard Marsceau, son of Henry and Alice (Ueecker) Marsceau was born August 26, 1930, in Wausau, Wisconsin. Dick was the youngest of 13 children. In 1953 he graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where he met and married Miriam Chipchase on January 17, 1953. They were married for 62 years. Miriam preceded her beloved husband to heaven in 2015. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Weston Barthel, husband of Bethel, and 9 siblings.
Dick will be remembered by his three children. Richard (Nancy) Marsceau of Troy Mills, Iowa; Bethel Barthel of Newman Grove, Nebraska; Bud Marsceau of Coos Bay, Oregon; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; three older siblings: David Marsceau, Susie Adamsheck and Bud Marsceau.
Dick pastored for 70 years in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Idaho and Nebraska. He was a life-long big game hunter with a house full of trophy racks and pelts. Dick also enjoyed horses and all things cowboy. He broke and trained horses, learned to rope, drove cattle for ranching friends, and loved the rodeo.
He loved his family, he loved life and lived it to its fullest. But his greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a young man when he became a Christian and it was his passion to preach and teach the Gospel: we have sinned, God loves us, Jesus saves us, believe in Him. The joy in which he lived reflected that he is at peace with God. And now he is in His presence for all eternity.
