Ralph H. Cox

Ralph H.  Cox, 82, of Cedar Rapids, NE, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at the Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE.

Ralph's wishes were to be cremated.  There will be no services at this time.

Levander Funeral Home of Cedar Rapids, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Ralph H. Cox, son of Thomas and Ella (Black) Cox was born on February 1, 1938 at Pierre, South Dakota.  Ralph received his education in Pierre, SD.  He was employed for 15 years with the City of Pierre in the Water Dept.

Ralph was united in marriage to Bonna Faye Judd on December 18, 1972 in Kennebec, SD.  From 1978 to 1981 they lived in Farmer City, IL, where he worked construction and for the grain elevator.  In 1981, they moved back to Pierre, and later that same year they moved to Brookings, where he was employed with the Brookings County Highway Department until his retirement in 2000.  The couple then moved to Cedar Rapids, NE.  Ralph enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his wife Bonna Faye of Cedar Rapids, NE; one daughter Nancy (Justin) Hanson of Platte Center, NE; guardianship daughter Christina (Jeffery) of Aberdeen, SD; eight grandchildren; three sisters Helen (Robert) Schillinger of Hot Springs, SD; Judy Losea of Casper, WY; Evelyn Holcomb (Jerry) of Rapid City, SD; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters Jennifer and Shannon; son Chrys; four unknown pregnancies; four brothers: Bill, Fred, Harold, and Bob Cox; two sisters Jean Freier and an infant.
