Patricia "Patti" A. Krings, 84, of Omaha, NE passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at her son's house in Yutan, NE.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at United Methodist Church, Wolbach, NE with Pastor Serene Samuel officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, NE. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.
Patricia "Patti" Alice Krings, daughter of Patrick Albert and Alice Miranda (Beekman) James was born May 16, 1940, in Grand Island, NE. She attended school in Wolbach and graduated with the class of 1958. Patti then went to college in Kearney where she earned her teaching degree. She taught in Nance County and Cushing, NE in a one room school house, as well as taught school in Cook, NE.
On April 11, 1964, Patti was united in marriage to Francis "Fritz" Dale Krings at the Methodist Parsonage in Nebraska City, NE. Patti was blessed with four children. The couple lived and raised their family in Omaha, NE. Patti ran a pre-school in Omaha, NE, until her grandchildren came along and she helped her children out with taking care of them.
Patti was a longtime member of the Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her animals, friends, and family. She especially loved taking care of her grandchildren and attending their events as they got older.
Patti is survived by her four children: Jami Attanasio of Omaha, NE; Lori Schneider of Omaha, NE; Patrick (Margie) Krings of Yutan, NE; Rodney Krings of Omaha, NE; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren: three sisters: Dona Ondracek of Wolbach, NE; Deanna (Dick) Greek of Brule, AZ; Dr. Tami James Moore of Kearney, NE; sister-in-law: Bonnie James of Norfolk, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Fritz Krings in 2009; and one brother: Donald James; brothers-in-laws: Pat Moore and Carl Ondracek.
