Patricia "Pat" J. Beister, 69, of Albion, NE, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society, Albion, NE.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, NE. There will be a Wake Service at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. all at church.

Levander Funeral Home of Cedar Rapids, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia "Pat" Jean Beister, daughter of Richard and Edith (Fitzsimmons) Bourn was born on September 11, 1950 at Cedar Rapids, NE. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She attended Cedar Rapids Public School and graduated from high school in 1968. After graduation she was employed at BD's in Columbus, NE.

On October 3, 1970 Pat was united in marriage to James F. Beister at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE. They made their home on a farm north Cedar Rapids, where they raised their three sons and farmed their entire married life.

Pat was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE as well as the Altar Society, and was always willing to help out. Pat enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, quilting, raising cats and dogs, and especially spending time with her children and grand-children.  Pat and Jim also loved their travels, they have went to Germany, Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska, and many other places in the United States.

Pat is survived by her husband James of Albion, NE: children: Kenneth of Ankeny, IA; Richard (Andrea) of Albion, NE, Daniel of Cedar Rapids, NE, five grandchildren: Laken (Grant Jensen) Beister of Ankeny, IA, Kegan Beister (Juliana Gossett) of Sarasota, FL, Mazie, Carter, and Kassidy Beister all of Albion, NE; one great-granddaughter Luna Beister; three sisters: JoAnn Bourn and Marge Bourn both of Albion, NE; Marilyn (John) Roan of Cedar Rapids, NE; four brothers: Mick Bourn and Doug Bourn both of Cedar Rapids, NE; Richard (Noreen) Bourn of St. Louis, MO; Larry (Carlene) Bourn of Spalding, NE; sister-in-law Doris Bourn of Cedar Rapids, NE; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clyde Bourn and nephew Jeffrey Roan.
