James "Pat" Patrick Mahony, son of Charles and Katheryn (Babbitt) Mahony, was born March 3, 1948, in O'Neill, NE. He received the sacrament of Baptism and Confirmation from St. Mary's Catholic Church in O'Neill, NE. Pat attended St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated in 1966. Following graduation he went to Benedictine college in Atchison, KS, where he received his bachelor's in history.
