Michael L. Stone

Michael L. Stone, 69, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his home in Las Vegas, NV.

Private family graveside service will be held at Looking Glass Cemetery.

Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove, NE is in charge of the arrangements.

Michael L. Stone, the son of Merlin and Bernette (Beiermann) Stone was born on September 20, 1952, at Norfolk, NE.  He attended school at Platte County District #40 and graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1971. Following high school, he moved to Omaha and worked for the Checkered Cab Company.  In 1998 Michael moved to Las Vegas, NV where he worked at the Treasure Island Casino until retirement.  Michael enjoyed playing cards, playing pool, and seeing farm animals and wildlife.  He especially enjoyed the dogs he had adopted.  Michael was an avid Western movie fan and also collected vehicle and tractor models.

He is survived by his sister Marcia Stone Smith of Indianapolis, IN; brother Charles (Paula) Stone of Newman Grove, NE; nephews and nieces; Patrick (Amanda) Smith and Zaylie & Zachary Smith of Papillion, NE; Karen Smith of Indianapolis, IN; Kyle Stone of Newman Grove, NE; Rebecca Stone of Norfolk, NE; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents: Maynard and Minnie Stone; Fred and Agnes Beiermann.
