Maxtyn Floyd And Miles Alan Smith

Maxtyn Floyd Smith and Miles Alan Smith, precious twin sons of Eric and Whitney (Ehlers) Smith, were born into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Methodist Women's Hospital in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Though their lives on earth were brief, Maxtyn and Miles were known by God before they were born and are now held in His eternal peace. They will forever be cherished gifts, whose lives, though short, were filled with love, promise, and purpose. Their family finds comfort in knowing they now rest in heaven, reunited with Christ, watching over those who love them.

Maxtyn and Miles are survived by their parents, Eric and Whitney Smith; their sister, Ava; and their brothers, Riptyn and Ashton all of St. Edward, NE; grandparents: Jamie and Tina Smith of Cedar Rapids, NE; Shairee Runge of St. Paul, NE; Rhonda Ehlers of St. Edward, NE: aunt Danielle (Phillip) Nelson of Cedar Bluffs, NE; uncles: Michael Smith of Norfolk, NE; Tyler Smith of Cedar Rapids, NE; Chase (Corinne) Ehlers of Papillion, NE; cousins Aryana, Paislee, Octavia, Charlotte, and Cooper; great-grandmother Donna Anderson of Wolbach, NE: along with great aunts and uncles, and other relatives who will always carry their memory in their hearts.

They are preceded in death by their grandfather Mark Ehlers; great-grandparents Thomas and Marianne Smith; Stanley and Kathleen Modelski; Floyd and Delva Ehlers, and Victor Anderson.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at St. Edward Catholic Church in St. Edward, Nebraska. Private family burial will be at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery, St. Edward, NE.
