Mary Kay Beierman, 55, of Omaha, NE, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Michael's Church in Albion, NE with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz and Deacon James Schindel officiating. Inurnment will follow in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Boone County Health Center in Albion, Children's Hospital in Omaha, or St. Michael's Church Building Fund in Albion.

Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Kay Beierman, daughter of Elvin and Marilyn (Scholl) Beierman, was born July 2, 1965 at Columbus, NE. She was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic faith at St Michael's Church in Albion. She attended school at St. Michael's School through the eighth grade and graduated from Albion High School with the class of 1983. Following graduation, she studied business and received a degree from Columbus Community College.

Mary Kay began her career at First National Bank in Columbus, working as a teller. She also worked parttime as a bartender at Glur's Tavern, and worked at Ag Park during the horse races. Following the death of her mother Marilyn in 1986, Mary Kay moved back to Albion to help care for her younger brothers for a period of time, before returning to Columbus. In the late 1990's, she moved to Omaha, NE where she worked as a sales associate at FedEx.

She was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time in her yard, working on the landscaping.

Mary Kay is survived by her fiancée Don Gitten of Omaha, NE; four brothers: Keith (Diane) Beierman, Larry (Kim) Beierman, Tim (Paula) Beierman, Kent (Jane) Beierman, all of Albion, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and other beloved family members.
