Marion M. Anderson, 86 of Albion, NE died on Friday, February 9, 2024 at Good Samaritan Society, Albion, Nebraska

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Levander Funeral Home, 1555 S. 6th St., Albion, NE.  Her wishes were to be cremated then burial will be at a later date at the Brewster Cemetery, Brewster, NE.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Marion M. Anderson, daughter of Elbert and Eleanor (Miller) Smithson was born on August 17, 1937 at Glenwood Springs, CO.  She grew up in Brewster, NE and graduated from Brewster High School.

Marion married Gayle D. Anderson and they had four children: Kevin, Farron, Carmen and Dwaine.  They were later divorced.  Marion worked at various places in Albion including the Country Club, Daylight Donuts, The Villa, and Gateway.  She also did babysitting for many years. She was a hard worker and provided for her children.  She was very funny, caring, and sometimes a sassy lady.  Marion also loved to read in her free time and was a great cook.  People always loved her cinnamon rolls, peanut butter cookies, and sugar cookies.

Marion is survived by her children: Kevin (Martie) Anderson of Albion, NE; Carmen (Jay C.) Johnson of Albion, NE; and Dwaine Anderson of North Bend, NE; 6 grandchildren: Adam (Brandy) Anderson of Beemer, NE; Bryce (Rebeca) Anderson of Broken Bow, NE: Bradon (Jaden Switzer) Anderson of Cedar Rapids, NE: Haily (Jake) McDonald of Columbus, NE; Alex (Sydney Weidner) Johnson of Albion, NE; Conner Johnson of Albion, NE; 10 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Farron in 1997; two grandsons: Justin Anderson and Carter Johnson in 2016; great-granddaughter: Cora Anderson; and her sister and brother-in-law Mary Ella and Jack Fitch.
