F. Marie Naeve, 97 of Albion, NE, passed away on March 19, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Center, Albion, NE.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE with Rev. Carolann Hopcke officiating. The service will be live streamed on Zion Lutheran Church - Albion Facebook page. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.

Frances Marie Naeve, the daughter of Andrew and Sylvia Mae (Hiles) Dybdahl was born on November 9, 1923 at Bradish Community, Boone County, NE. Her father Andrew emigrated from Denmark as a young man and her mother Sylvia, was a well-known mid-wife in the Bradish area. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE. Marie attended rural country school at District 57 and graduated from Albion High School in 1941.
On February 3, 1943 Marie was united in marriage to Harold P. Naeve at the Lutheran church parsonage in Columbus, NE. They lived and farmed southwest of Albion where they survived the bad times and rejoiced in all the good times. In 1980 they retired from farming and moved into Albion. Marie was always busy besides being a farmer's wife and mother, she worked full time as a clerk at McDonalds in Albion.
Marie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion and was active teaching Sunday school and serving on the church council. She was also a member of the Zion Lutheran Women's circle and served as secretary and treasurer for the Senior Citizens Board. Marie and Harold enjoyed traveling together during their retirement years. Marie also loved to fish, play bridge, and collect salt and pepper shakers.
Marie is survived by her two children: Paul (Mary) Naeve of Altus, OK; Janice (Jim) Kollars of Lincoln, NE; five grandchildren: Glynda (Mark) Reed; Manette (Kevin) Lewis; Jason (Tricia) Kollars; Jamison Kollars; Jill Schuessler; nine great-grandchildren; along with many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harold; and four brothers: Emanuel; Albert; Donald; and Frank.
