Marian Brickel, 87, of Albion, NE passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Boone County Health Center, Albion, NE.

There will be a private family service with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.  There will be a video of the services posted on Marian's page of our website next week.

Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of the arrangements.

Marian Brickel, daughter of Ellsworth and Winafred (Houtz) Stevenson was born November 28, 1932 at Albion, NE.  She grew up attending the Church of Christ in Albion and was baptized and confirmed there.  Marian graduated from Albion High School in 1951.  Following high school Marian worked at the Dime Store and then the 1 st National Bank.

On April 17, 1967 Marian was united in marriage to Harlan Brickel at the Church of Christ in Albion, NE.  They traveled to Canada for their honeymoon.  The couple lived in Albion and to this union three sons were born.  While the boys were in school, Marian worked at school in the kitchen.  Marian and Harlan both retired in 1998.

Marian was a member of the Church of Christ in Albion, as well as the After 5 Club. She also volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center and the Mission Store in Albion.  Marian enjoyed spending time with her family and was so happy when her granddaughter Lauren was born and treasured her time with her. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, and canning.  Marian and Harlan went on many vacations with their camper.

Marian is survived by her husband Harlan of Albion, NE; three sons: Todd (Stephanie) of Colorado Springs, CO; Scott of Albion, NE; Darren (Beth) and granddaughter Lauren of Kearney, MO; one sister Mildred Fritzen of Overland Park, KS; two brothers Leonard (Norma) Stevenson of Ozark, MO; Robert (Nancy) Stevenson of Alcoa, TN; sister-in-law Bonnie Stevenson of Trenton, MO;  brother-in-law Larry (Gail) Brickel of Morse Bluff, NE; sister-in-law Kay (Don) Walters of Omaha, NE; along with other nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Weldon (Thelma) Stevenson, Elwin Stevenson; father and mother-in law: Ray (Marie) Brickel brother-in-law: Bob Brickel; and LeRoy Fritzen; uncles: Jim Houtz; Vern (Eiline) Houtz.
