Margaret L. Kelley, 75 of Albion, NE died Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.
Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home with a 7:30 p.m. Rosary. A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.
Margaret Louise Kelley, daughter of Leonard and Rowena (Wooten) Kelley was born on May 31, 1946, at Norfolk, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Albion, NE. She attended school in Albion and graduated from Albion High School in 1964.
Margaret lived in Albion where she worked various jobs. She worked at Cloverlodge Care Center as a CNA and later in Human Resources for 27 years. After retirement she worked as a para-professional at the Boone Central Public School along side her daughter-in-law Sherri, with her preschool class.
Margaret was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. She enjoyed family gatherings and exploring Nebraska history and historical sites. Margaret also loved old western movies and working the Jumble and crossword puzzles. She was a wonderful cook, and her family all loved her potato salad. Margaret was very particular with her home and herself. She never left the house without being all fixed up. She was always so proud when her kids and grandkids would be in the paper for various school activities and stock car races.
Margaret is survived by her two sons: Michael (Sherri) Kelley of Albion, NE; James (Kelly) Kelley of Norfolk, NE; five grandchildren: Shawn (Mikayla), Brody, Brennen, Hayden, and Sutten Kelley; two sisters: Virginia (David) Giddings of Crandall, TX; Ann (Perry) Stultz of St. Edward, NE; brother David "Butch" Livingston of Central City, NE; brother-in-law James Matson of Kearney, NE; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Elizabeth (Russell) Flamme; Katherine (Jack) Freese, and Debra Matson.
