Marcia May Wilcoxon, 96 of Albion, NE passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at her daugther's home in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at United Methodist Church in Albion, Nebraska with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at church. Current Covid-19 DHM's will be followed and masks are expected at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church, Albion, NE. Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Marcia May Wilcoxon, daughter of Ward and Daisy (Constable) Anderson was born November 5, 1923 in Atwood, Kansas.   She died August 12, 2020 in Beaumont, Texas, age 96.

She attended elementary and high schools in Atwood, Kansas, and graduated from Colorado State College of Education in Greeley, Colorado.

On March 30, 1948 she was married to Francis D. (Frank) Wilcoxon, and they lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado.  After Frank finished veterinary college, the couple moved to Lincoln, Nebraska.  Their next home was Platte Center, Nebraska, and here their first two children were born: Susan in 1950 and Roderick (Roddy) in 1951.  In 1952, the family moved to Albion, Nebraska, where two more children were born: John in 1954 and Sarah in 1958

Mrs. Wilcoxon taught school for three years at Petersburg High School and in September 1968 she was hired as business education instructor at Albion High School.  She retired from teaching in May 1990.  She missed teaching, so she substituted for the next five years at Albion and neighboring high schools.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Albion, where she served as a teacher in the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and served as Membership Chairman for several years. Marcia was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1960. Her hobby was knitting and she taught other to knit through adult education classes

Survivors are Dr. Susan (Dr. R.P.) Major of Lincoln, John Wilcoxon of Albion, Sarah (Dr. Howard D.) Wilcox of Beaumont, TX, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her son Roddy at age 5, her parents, and two sisters.
