Linda Marie Stone

Linda M. Stone, 64 year old wife of Ronald Stone, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at their home in Lindsay, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Holy Family Church in Lindsay, NE with Rev. Wayne Pavela officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Levander Funeral Home in Newman Grove. Inurnment will take place at Looking Glass Cemetery at a later date. Current Covid-19 DHM's in effect, including social distancing, will be followed at both the visitation and mass.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family. Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Marie Stone, daughter of Myrle and Pauline (Lewis) Hadcock, was born on February 6, 1956 at St. Mary's Hospital in Columbus, NE. She was baptized on February 19, 1956 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. Linda attended various schools throughout her childhood and graduated from Columbus High School in 1973. Following her graduation, she later worked at the BD plant in Columbus.

Linda was united in marriage to Ronald Stone on November 27, 1976 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, NE. The couple made their home in Lindsay, NE. Over the years Linda worked at area nursing homes and later the local grocery store in Lindsay.

Linda was a Daisy and Junior Girl Scout leader as well as a member of the Catholic faith. She was a kind, loving soul who loved to sing and spend time with her family. Linda also enjoyed collecting angels. The most important thing to her though was her grandchildren and getting to attend their activities and sporting events.

She is survived by her husband: Ronald Stone of Lindsay, NE; three daughters: Shelly (Travis) Petersen of Lindsay, NE; Dawn (Matthew) Labenz of St. Edward, NE; Angela (Brian) Ficke of Pleasant Dale, NE; five grandchildren: Darren, Anthony, and Liam Petersen all of Lindsay, NE; Rosella Labenz of St. Edward, NE; Laura Ficke of Pleasant Dale, NE; her father: Myrle Hadcock of Omaha, NE; three brothers: Mike (Linda) Hadcock of Mahaska, KS; Scott (Holly) Hadcock of Sargent, NE; Greg (Donna) Hadcock of LaVista, NE; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother: Pauline Hadcock; grandparents: Caryl and Rosella Hadcock; and one uncle: Darryl Hadcock.
