Larry E. Noble

Larry E. Noble, 72, of Albion, NE, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at UNMC-Nebraska Medicine, Omaha, NE.

A public visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE. Private family services will be held, followed by burial at Akron Bonanza Cemetery, rural Albion, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Levander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Larry Eugene Noble, son of Earvin Eugene and Shirley Ann (Williams) Noble was born on August 27, 1953, at Columbus, Nebraska. He attended Boone County School District #53 at Akron, until the 8th grade. Larry then went to Albion High School, where he played on the football team, he graduated in 1971. In 1971 Larry was baptized and confirmed at Akron Presbyterian Church. Following graduation, Larry started working on the farm with his father.

In May of 1975 Larry went on his first date with Noel Mock, at the drive-in movie theater in Albion, NE. After only two dates, he knew he was going to marry her. They were united in marriage on October 23, 1976, at the Loretto Methodist Church, Loretto, NE. They made their home on the farm that he grew up on.

Larry was on the COOP board. He was a member of a CB Club, and his handle was “Snowball”, he enjoyed this hobby, especially while coyote hunting. In Larry’s younger years he enjoyed golfing and bowling, and even some dancing with Noel. He also liked to tinker on things, trying to fix something before asking for help. He also loved to visit with small groups of friends.

Larry is survived by his wife of near 50 years Noel “Nellie” of Albion, NE; brothers: Steve (Nancy) of Lincoln, NE; Dave (Lori) of Albion, NE; Noel’s siblings: Mavis Pfeifer of Holdrege, NE; Neal (Cindy) Mock of Loretto, NE; Janelle (Kelly) Kallhoff of Clearwater, NE; nieces and nephews: Dustin Noble of North Platte, NE; Cody (Kari) Noble and children Boston and Morgan of Lincoln, NE; Clark (Mikayla) Noble and children Willis and Miles of Seward, NE; Spencer (Emily) Noble and children Wesley and Callan of Kearney, NE; Kade Noble of St. Edward, NE; Jennifer (James) Upshaw and children Janaya, Ben, Jon, and Creighton of Bellevue, NE; Christine Pfeifer and children Samantha, Patrick, Lilly, Katie of Ravenna, NE; Kyle (Taylor) Mock of Arlington, NE; Brian Mock of Loretto, NE; Lance Baum of Basehor, KS; along with many cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; parents; parents-in-law: Clinton and Inez Mock; niece: Bailey Baum; and several aunts and uncles.
