Ladonna Adriene Mae Morris

LaDonna A.M. Morris, 90, of Newman Grove, NE, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Good Samaritan Society, Albion, NE.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at Levander Funeral Home, Albion, NE with Rev. Carolann Hopcke and Vicar Keith Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

LaDonna Adriene Mae Morris, daughter of John and Emma (Pittack) Koenig was born January 13, 1934, at the family farm in rural Newman Grove, NE. She was the youngest child of eight. She was baptized on February 11, 1934, and confirmed on March 30, 1947, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, eight miles north of Newman Grove, NE. She received her elementary education at rural school district #67 before graduating from Newman Grove High School in 1951.

In 1953 LaDonna married Glenn Morris in Schuyler, NE. From this union she was blessed with five children: Daniel, Timothy, David, Mary, and Michael. LaDonna was employed at the Dunes Motel, Hobby House, and was an Avon representative. LaDonna enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, and reading.

LaDonna is survived by two sons: Dan (Melodee Bock) Morris of Waterloo, NE; Tim (Karen) Morris of Albion, NE; one daughter: Mary Morris of Albion, NE; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband: Glenn; two infant sons: David and Michael; three brothers: Ernest (Lucille Schmidt) Koenig; Glenn (Avis Balzer) Koenig; and Leo Koenig; four sisters: June (Lawrence Schnabel, Bob Eppenbach) Eppenbach; Elsie (LuVerne) Fliginger; Eleanor (Nick) Bruno; and Ramona (Willard) Gross.
