Kathryn D. (Koenig) Molt Sojka, 94, of Albion, NE passed away Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Levander Funeral Home, Albion, NE. There will be a private family service to follow. Burial will be at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Albion, NE.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.
Kathryn Dorothy Koenig Molt Sojka was born November 23, 1930, on a farm near Petersburg to John Henry and Rose Adelade (Happ) Koenig. She graduated from Spalding Academy. Kathryn married Howard Lee Molt on October 26, 1948. They made their home near Albion where they had their nine children. She loved sewing clothes, gardening, flowers and especially caring for her children. Howard passed away on July 30, 1988. On October 3, 1992, she married Stanley Louis Sojka, and they enjoyed traveling, dancing, and visiting their children.
She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church. She was the bookkeeper for District 74 and H. L. Molt and Sons Inc.
Kathryn is survived by her children James (Diane), Daniel (Janet), Nancy (James) Hendrickson, Thomas (Jean), Karen (Tim) Morris, Rick (Ruth), David (Bonnie), and Laurie (Dennis) Krohn. Stepchildren Rose (Richard) Stehno, Beverly Sojka, Stanley Sojka, Julie (Doug) Ryan, Ted Sojka, Mary (Bill) Langenberg, Tom (Patty) Sojka daughter-in-law Kate Molt, and step son-in-law Chuck Thiele. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Siblings Pat Spelic, Dorothy Marshall, Margaret Schraeder, Betty Ondracek, Bill (Georgia) Koenig, and Mary (Dick) McIntyre. Many nieces and nephews. Her best friend and partner in crime, Rosie Labenz.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, son Jerome, brother Edward (EJ) Koenig, stepdaughter Barbara Sojka Thiele, in-laws Dorothy Koenig, Gary Schraeder, Jim Ondracek, Mike Marshall, Marvin and Lynette Molt, Eileen and Robert Bittner, and Marjorie and Delaine Briese.
