Judy M. Klassen

Judy M. Klassen, 81, of Albion, NE, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Society in Albion, NE.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE with Pastor Kurt Kinney officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion, NE.

Judith "Judy" Marie Klassen, daughter of Conrad M. and Alvina (Thieman) Arends Jr., was born at Palmer, NE. She attended school at St. John's grade school and high school in Petersburg, graduating in 1963. Following her graduation Judy worked for a time as a housekeeper for Jim & Elaine Wolf.

On September 7, 1968, Judy was married to Leo Klassen at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Petersburg. The couple spent their entire married life in Albion. Judy worked as a cook at St. Michael's Catholic School in Albion. She later became a CNA, Med Aide, and activities director at area nursing homes.

Judy's faith was important to her. She was a former preacher of the Church of the Nazarene and regularly spent time in God's word and doing Bible studies. She also enjoyed drinking steaming hot coffee, eating ice cream, driving around town with her husband Leo, fishing, and crafting.

Judy is survived by her husband: Leo Klassen of Albion, NE; two daughters: Lori (Bill) Loughman of Aurora, NE; Jane Klassen of Petersburg, NE; three grandchildren: Chris (Erika) Klassen; Dustin (Jenna) Slaymaker; Corey (Nora Albahadly) Klassen; three great-grandchildren: Cooper and Easton Klassen; CJ Klassen; brother: Conrad Arends of Petersburg, NE; sister: Joyce Bottorf of Petersburg, NE; sister-in-law: Cherylle Arends of Petersburg, NE; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother: Alvin "Butch" Arends; sister-in-law: Judy Arends; and brother-in-law: Donald Bottorf.
