Jill Lynn Thewke

Jill Lynn Thewke, 58, of Omaha, Nebraska, died Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Josie Harper Hospice House, Omaha, NE.

Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, June 19th from 1-3 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Ovarian Cancer Research.

Levander Funeral Home, Albion, NE  is in charge of the arrangements.

Jill was born November 15, 1962 in Albion, NE to Harold and Lois (Winterfeld) Thewke.  After graduating from Genoa High School, Jill attended Lincoln Business College in Lincoln, NE.  During her life, she received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Nebraska Omaha.

In 1991, Jill started her career with the University of Nebraska Medical Center with the College of Nursing.  She was employed there as an Administrator until her death.

Throughout her life, Jill enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She loved to travel and had visited many states, some with her friend Lola Cash, as well as traveling to Germany with her friend Hilde Boeck.  She also loved to garden and to read.

Jill is survived by her parents Harold and Lois (Winterfeld) Thewke, Albion, NE; her brothers, Douglas (Cassandra) Thewke, Johnson City, TN; Ray Thewke, Chadron, NE and Craig (Shareen)Thewke, Lincoln, NE; and the most important people her nephew and niece, Landon and Presley Thewke.

Jill is preceeded in death by her brother David Thewke, Grandparents Erwin & Ruby Thewke and Denzil & Edith Winterfeld.
