Jedd C. Broberg, 63, of Newman Grove, NE, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at his home.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 9, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Newman Grove, NE with Deacon Claire Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity West Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
Jedd Curtis Broberg, son of Elliott C. and Jolene M. (Anderson) Broberg was born July 28, 1961, at Newman Grove, NE. He attended school at Newman Grove Public School and graduated with the class of 1979. During high school Jedd worked at the Newman Grove Creamery. Following graduation, he worked at Lindsay Manufacturing for eight years. During this time he enjoyed music, playing drums for a two-man band and worked as a DJ at the radio station in Albion.
Jedd enrolled at S.E. Tech, Milford, NE in 1986 and later worked for Metromail in Lincoln, NE. He enjoyed working in the manufacturing industry, holding various positions including crane and forklift operator, warehouse lead man, and training other employees. He returned to the Newman Grove area in 2000 and worked in Columbus, Lindsay and Albion. He was Elliott's loyal caregiver for the past few years.
He was a country guy and did not care for city living. He loved spending time outdoors fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed playing Euchre and socializing. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove.
Jedd is survived by his father: Elliott Broberg of Newman Grove, NE; brother: Jeff Broberg (Susan McCarthy) of Gretna, NE; sister: Joni (Brian) Guenther of Lincoln; five nieces and nephews who he affectionately referred to as "Twerps": Andrea (Scott) Bergener of Anna, TX; Heather (Alex) Schultz of Roswell, GA; Ryne Broberg (fiancé Jordyn Siedel) of Castle Rock, CO; Brandon (Megan) Guenther of Elkhorn, NE; Zachary Guenther of Nashville, TN; five great-nieces and great-nephews: Lexi, Caleb, Felicity and Cecilia Bergener and Greylin Guenther; special cousin Deb Matson; along with many other cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Jolene Broberg in 2012 and all of his aunts and uncles.
