Jeanne Maxine Shaver, 70, of Lincoln passed away on March 9, 2020, due to complications from influenza and pneumonia. Services are pending.
Jeanne was born October 8, 1949, in Albion, Nebraska to Donald (Ted) and Ruth (Kaufman) Shaver. A graduate of Albion High, Jeanne went on to receive a medical technology degree from Wayne State College. She worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
She moved to Lincoln, working at Harris Labs and Celebrity Staffing before starting with the State of Nebraska in the Workforce Development in 2002 where she continued to work until her passing.
Jeanne enjoyed counted cross stitch and hardanger. Her sisters' homes have many of her works. She was an avid reader and always stayed up on the current events in the country. She helped on the Election Commission at polling stations during elections. She was also a cat lover and adopted her last three from a shelter.
She is survived by sisters Deloris (Errol) Schafer of Marshfield, Missouri; Donna (Bill Synnott) Shaver of Des Moines, Iowa; Janette Malick of Lincoln; Julie (Roger) Frandsen of Grand Island; niece Amanda (Steve) Shannon of Aurora; nephews Lucas Malick of Lincoln; Eric Frandsen of Portland, Oregon; Joel (Korey) Frandsen of Papillion; and grand-nieces and grand-nephews Gabby Shannon, Miles Briggs, Micah Shannon, Scarlet Frandsen, Calvin Shannon and Max Frandsen. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Larry Malick.
Jeanne was an organ and tissue donor. Memorials are suggested to your local animal shelter.
