James "Jim" L. Borer, 75, of Albion, NE passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion, NE with Fr. Mark Tomasiewicz and Deacon Paul Weeder officiating. Interment will be at the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. Wake Service.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.
James "Jim" Lee Borer, son of Louis and Clara (Ludden) Borer was born on August 10, 1943 at rural Albion, NE. Jim was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. He attended rural Boone County Schools.
Jim lived with his parents, and after they passed away he continued to live in the family home. He worked various jobs throughout his life including working at the Albion Sale Pavelion. Jim moved into the Samaritan Estates Assisted Living in the fall of 2017 and loved living there. He was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Albion. Jim enjoyed putting puzzles together, mowing his yard on his riding mower, and watching traffic go by while he sat on his front porch.
Jim is survived by his sister: Arlene (LaVern) Nissen of Petersburg, NE; brother: Bill (Martie) Borer of Norfolk, NE; two sisters-in-law: Donna Borer of Grand Island, NE and Eleanor Borer of Lincoln, NE; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Mary (Warren) Ewing; Marjorie (Gradon) Whitten; Cordelia Borer in infancy; and three brothers: Ray Borer; Vern Borer; Norbert (Marilyn) Borer.
