Glenn “Dugan” G. Davidson, 95, of rural St. Edward, NE, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward, NE.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Newman Grove, NE with Pastor Claire Meyer officiating. Inurnment will follow at Trinity West Cemetery, Newman Grove, NE. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the church.
Levander Funeral Home of Newman Grove, NE is in charge of arrangements.
Glenn G. Davidson, son of Jesse Ernest and Ruth Elizabeth (Rolfe) Davidson, was born February 8, 1931, at Petersburg, NE. He attended school until the eighth grade when his mother passed away, and he went and helped his father on the farm.
On June 21, 1953, Glenn married Ardath Ann Kramer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove, NE. From this union, they were blessed with three children. The couple made their home in rural St. Edward, NE where they raised their children. Glenn was a farmer and loved farming from the very beginning. He dedicated his life to the land and took great pride in his work throughout the years. Glenn also drove truck, beginning in the 1960’s for Ed Drog, later became owner of Drog Transfer until 2007
He was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his loved ones and creating long lasting memories with them. Glenn also enjoyed bowling in local leagues for 30+ years.
Glenn is survived by one son: Ross (Carol) Davidson of rural Albion, NE; two daughters: Nancy (Randy) Johnson of Columbus, NE; Deanna “Dee” (Larry) Koenig of Newman Grove, NE; seven grandchildren: Kelly (Cole Frey) Benson; Samantha (Aaron) Kleveland; Shawna Podany; Jennifer (Tate) Vanicek; Dr. Jill (Andrius) Knasas; Lynn Benzing; Chase (Pascal) Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother: Jim (Marie) Davidson of Kansas City, KS; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Ardath Davidson; grandson: Kevin “Trapper” Davidson; three brothers: Dr. J. Edward (Jean) Davidson; Wayne (Chestyne) Davidson; Robert (Jeanne) Davidson; four sisters: Jean (Thad) Reznor; Lorraine (Robert) Getzfrid; Sharon (Morris) Workman; and Janice Getzfrid.
