Gary G. Packard, 78, of Montrose, Colorado passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019 after a short illness.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Levander Funeral Home, Albion, NE with Rev. Janet Burgel officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.

Gary G. Packard, son of Glenn and Madaline (Whiting) Packard was born September 9, 1940 in Red Bluff, California. Gary was a graduate of Petersburg High School. He was united in marriage to Sue Scarlett in 1961 and to that union four children were born, Susan, Glen, Gail, and Doris.

Gary was co-owner of Phillips 66 with Leroy Mangus in the 1970's and 1980's. He also worked as a night patrolman and dispatcher for the Boone County Sherriff's department. In 1985 the business was sold.

Gary married Barbara L. (Ranslem) Moody on August 17, 1985, in Commerce City, Colorado. They made their home in Montrose, Colorado. In 1996 Gary started working for the Montrose School District until his retirement in 2005. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and loving his dogs.

Gary is survived by his wife Barbara, son Glenn (Sujin) Packard, daughters Gail Packard and Doris Packard, grandchildren Heather, Betty, and John, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and daughter Susan.
