Gary D. Iburg, 63, of Belgrade, NE, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2024, at St. Edward Christian Community Church, St. Edward, NE with Pastor Mick Goc officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Edward, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday at the church.

Gary Dean Iburg, son of Melvin Richard and Frances Florence (Pratt) Iburg was born September 25, 1960, in Tilden, NE. Gary was baptized at Trinity Lutheran in Elgin, NE. He attended and graduated from Elgin with the class of 1980.
On April 7, 1995, Gary was united in marriage to Tammy Lynn VanMeter at Yankton, SD. The couple made their home in St. Edward before moving to Belgrade. Gary worked at many jobs during his life including construction, feedlot, sand plant, City of St. Edward, welded at several manufacturing factories, and his last job was working for Pillens which due to his health he had to quit a couple weeks ago.
Gary enjoyed fixing antique tractors, fishing, hunting, collecting steins, and spending quality time with his children and granddaughter. There was nothing that Gary couldn't fix.
Gary is survived by his wife of 28 years Tammy Iburg of Belgrade, NE; three children: Megan Iburg of Fremont, NE; Justin (Rebecca) Iburg of Cedar Rapids, NE; Tonya (boyfriend Bo Dilley) Iburg of St. Edward, NE; granddaughter Raelynn Dilley of St. Edward, NE; sisters: Jane (Rich) Beltz of Norfolk, NE; Sheila (Keith) Hoshor of St. Edward, NE; brothers-in-law: Ralph (Sabine) VanMeter of Germany; Dennis VanMeter of Primrose, NE; Mike VanMeter of Lincoln, NE; aunt: Goldie Poulsen of Elgin, NE; best four legged companion: Dum Dum; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded by his parents; grandparents; brother: Richard Iburg; parents-in-law: Ron and Mathilde VanMeter; brothers-in-law: Ric Zabka; Joe VanMeter; sister-in-law: Kim VanMeter.
