Frank P. Wietzki, 63, of Ericson, NE, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his home in Ericson, NE.

A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Wagon Wheel on Highway 91 in Ericson, NE with Pastor Jerry Schonenberger officiating.

Dolce-Scheef Mortuary of Spalding, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Franklin Paul Wietzki, son of Charles John and Lela Maye (Foster) Wietzki, was born May 12, 1956 at Burwell, NE. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Frank attended Ericson grade school and then Wheeler Central High School until 1973 when his family moved to Burwell. He then attended and graduated from Burwell Junior Senior High School in 1975.

Frank had many jobs including doing masonry work and owned and operated the Hungry Horse Restaurant in Ericson, NE. He loved telling stories and always had a good joke. In his younger years he enjoyed rodeoing, riding bulls and participating in wild horse races. He also loved to read, learn to do new things, and was an excellent cook. He had an entrepreneur spirit, starting turtle races, river tanking, and pasture golf.

Frank is survived by seven siblings: Chip Wietzki of Burwell, NE; Carol Wietzki of North Platte, NE; Dan (Sharon) Wietzki of Tabor, IA; Darlene Wietzki of Grand Island, NE; Joe (Cookie) Wietzki of Ericson, NE; Laura (Randy) Sheldon of Spalding, NE; Marge Wietzki of Omaha, NE as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Ed Wietzki.
