Eva M. Langer, 87 of Spalding, NE, passed away, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE with Fr. Antony Thekkekara officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, in Spalding, NE. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a 7 p.m. wake service.

Levander Funeral Home of Spalding, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Eva Marie Langer, daughter of Charles and Rose (Miller) Dresch Jr was born on November 17, 1935, at the family home in Greeley County. She attended Primrose High School and graduated with the class of 1953. Following graduation, she worked at Northern National Gas in Omaha, NE.  She also attended the Electronic Radio Television Institute for Airline Personnel Training in Omaha, NE.

On September 5, 1955, Eva was united in marriage to Melvin John Langer at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Primrose. The couple made their home on a farm near Spalding where they raised their five children. She worked at the Spalding Pharmacy and Spalding Livestock Market in the kitchen.

Eva was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Primrose and St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding. She was a part of the St. Anne's Altar Society in Spalding as well. She enjoyed coffee, watching the Bold & the Beautiful and of course her signature lipstick. Eva was looking forward to Primrose's 70th alumni celebration.

Eva is survived by her three daughters: Sharon (John) Bopp of Grand Island, NE; Shirley (Tom) McDonnel of Maumelle, AR; Jackie (Scott) Voichoskie of Fullerton, NE; son: Tom (Angie) Langer of Spalding, NE; son-in-law: Ken (Sue) Hiner of Grinnell, IA; eight granddaughters: Lauren (Justin) Salpas of Grand Island, NE; Stacyi (Matt) Wesolowski of Grimes, IA; Hannah (Erik) Bebb of Hill City, KS; Miranda Langer and Marissa Langer both of Spalding, NE; Jaylie (Nate) Hodgman of Fullerton, NE; Alex (Alex) Makovicka of Dwight, NE; Sydnie (Ryan Huston) Voichoskie of Holdrege, NE; three grandsons: Mark (Sam) McDonnel of Austin, AR; Aaron (Stacy) McDonnel of Fayetteville, AR; Jeran (Alli) Bentz of Bellevue, NE; sister-in-law: Mary Dresch of Primrose, NE; brother-in-law: Jack Glaser of Omaha, NE; 22 great-grandchildren: Alexander Bopp; Mayah Salpas; Griffin Oates; Graham, Teresa and Walter McDonnel; Clark, Anna, Everett and Fletcher McDonnel; Triston, Zoey and Declan Wesolowski; Abigail Bebb; Sarah Bentz; Paisley and Lincoln Hodgman; Henley, Sonora, Harrison, Evanie and Wynona Bentz; along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Melvin Langer; daughter: Lori Hiner; brother: Lavern Dresch; sisters: Virginia Glaser and Rita (Zig) Moritz; infant sister: Mary Ann Dresch; sisters-in-law: Eileen (Rich) Bauer; Leona (Francis) Schmidt; brother-in-law: Ambrose (Helen) Langer; nephew: Pete Bauer.
