Edith W. Wlaschin, 94 of Cedar Rapids, NE, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society - Albion, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE with Msgr. Ralph Steffensmeier officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. at the church, follow by visitation until service time.

Edith Marcella Wlaschin, daughter of Julius and Emma (DeWolf) Wlaschin was born August 31, 1924 at Albion, NE. She received her education in the Cedar Rapids area. She helped care for her parents, nieces and nephews, most of her life.

Edyie lived her life in Boone County, mostly around Cedar Rapids. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, NE, the Altar Society, and the Senior Center. Eddie loved to dance, embroider, quilt, and listen to music. She was always a kind and happy person, and loved to visit.

Edyie is survived by many nieces and nephews, including her caretakers and guardians Patrick and Amy Zaruba of Albion, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers: Charles, Leo, Bernard, Ambrose, and Joseph Wlaschin; five sisters Mary Klassen, Delores Gillam, Margaret Liekhus, Patricia Zaruba, and Rita Zaruba.
