Dorothy "Dot" A. Schademann, 90 of Albion, NE, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020, at her home in Albion, NE.
There will be private family service.
Levander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy "Dot" Ann Schademann, daughter of Clayton "Bill" and Fern (Berney) Austin was born on March 14, 1930 at Albion, NE. She was baptized at the First Congregational Church in Albion, NE. Dot attended school in Albion and graduated from Albion High School in 1948.
On July 18, 1948 Dot was united in marriage to Lester Schademann at the Congregational Church Parsonage. The couple lived in Albion, then moved to Lake Geneva, WI, and later to Watertown, WI. Dot worked as a housekeeper in the hospital and helped 4-H kids. In December of 1977 they moved back to Albion. Dot helped at school in the kitchen for about 10 years.
Dot was a member of the UCC-Congregational Church in Albion, NE. She loved to cook and bake and was famous for her cinnamon rolls she made for school.
Dot is survived by her husband of 72 years, Lester of Albion, NE; two children: Mike (Tami) Schademann of Albion, NE; Ann (Marvin) Olsen of Fort Atkinson, WI; eight grandchildren: Dorie (Jamie) Rose of Albion, NE; Mary (Ben) Haenni of LaCrosse, WI; Laura (Neal) Kickbusch of Crystal, MN; Hailey Schademann of Albion, NE; Christopher (Sara) Olsen of Cottage Grove, WI; Sarah Olsen of Milwaukee, WI; Adam and Jeremy Tolly of Columbus, NE; three great-grandchildren: Dakota and Evie Rose, and Maryn Olsen; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son Lester; brother Billy Austin; and sister Ruth Borders.
