Donna K Kelley

Donna K. Kelley, 59, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church, Albion, NE with Rev. Carolann Hopcke officiating. Inurnment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.

Levander Funeral Home of Albion, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Donna Kay (Daniels) Kelley was born to LaVerne (Bud) and Geraldine (Jerri) Daniels on August 27, 1963 at Albion Community Hospital, Albion, NE.  Donna started her life on a farm outside of Petersburg, NE until she moved to Bloomfield, NE where she started Kindergarten, and her family moved several times between NE and IA.  Donna graduated from Iowa Falls High School, Iowa Falls, IA in 1982.  Donna married Arthur Nicholson on December 10, 1982, and to this union two daughters (Rebecca and Shelley) were born.

Donna moved to Orange, TX and married Darby Kelley on May 10, 2002, and her family grew with the addition of his children (Kim, Darby III, Heather, Holly, Lindsey, and Chene Kelley).  Darby and Donna moved to Petersburg in 2005.  Donna and Darby added Brooklyn Kelley to their family.  Donna fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away on June 22, 2023, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

Donna is survived by her husband Darby Kelley JR of Petersburg, NE; Rebecca (Esdras) Hernandez of Hampton, IA; Shelley Nicholson of Hampton, IA; Kim (Gary) Briggs of Bridge City, TX; Darby (Daisy) Kelley III of Sioux City, IA; Heather Wondercheck of Fullerton, NE; Holly (Kevin) Lewon of Randolph, NE; Lindsey Kelley of Norfolk, NE; Darrel Chene Kelley of Norfolk, NE; and Brooklyn Kelley of Petersburg, NE; 27 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister Connie (Billy) Lantis of Stanton, NE.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents LaVerne and Geraldine Daniels and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
