Donald E. Kaiser, 85 of Spalding, NE died Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Spalding, NE with Rev. Lawrence Vadakkan officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post 299 of Spalding. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the church, with a wake service at 6:00 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to Spalding Volunteer Fire & Rescue.

Donald Eugene Kaiser, son of Otto A. and Monica B. (Weber) Kaiser was born February 23, 1940 in Spalding, NE. He attended Spalding Academy and graduated with the class of 1957. Following high school, Don joined the Navy and served his country honorably from 1957 to 1961. After being discharged from the Navy, Don went to Parks School of Business in Denver, CO. He then moved to Omaha, NE where he worked as a State Elevator Inspector. He returned to Spalding in the 1970's and began farming.

On November 26, 1977, Don was united in marriage to Georgia M. Noonan at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Spalding, NE. They lived and farmed 10 miles north of Spalding, where they raised their daughter Ashley. In 2001, they moved to town. Don was a farmer and enjoyed working the land until his retirement in 2006. He also worked for Stock Realty and Auction and Big Iron as a Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer from 1997 until the time of death.

Don was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. He was also heavily involved in his community. He was the Vice-President of Ericson Lake Corporation for numerous years, served on the boards of Farm Credit and ASCS, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Spalding Men's Club. In his spare time Don loved golfing, playing cards, tinkering at the farm, and especially spending time with his grandson, Austin.

Don is survived by his wife of 47 years: Georgia Kaiser of Spalding, NE; daughter: Ashley Kaiser (Josh Leslie) of Spalding, NE; grandson: Austin Bialas of Spalding, NE; two sisters: Collette McManaman and Marilyn (John) Goodrich, both of Spalding, NE; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Schmeits of Fort Worth, TX; Phyllis (Virgil) Crooker of Dunning, NE; brother-in-law: Ken (Kathleen) Noonan of Lincoln, NE; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great niece and great-great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Monica; parents-in-law: George and Mary Noonan; brothers-in-law: Ed McManaman and Errol Schmeits.
