Dixie D. Recker-Olson

Dixie D. Recker-Olson, 75, formerly of the Petersburg and Columbus, NE area, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Bastrop, TX.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Cemtery, Petersburg, NE where she will be laid to rest next to her parents.

Dixie was born in Norfolk, NE, graduated from Petersburg High School in 1967 and Columbus Beauty College in 1969. She lived for over 50 years in the Columbus, Genoa and Norfolk areas before moving to Victoria, TX in 2002 to be close to her eldest two children.

She enjoyed hairdressing, fashion, home decorating, cooking and travel. Dixie passed peacefully in her sleep December 3, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Vida Recker; infant brother: John Recker Jr.; and brother-in-law: Marlin Enquist.

Dixie is survived by her sister: Mona Enquist; four children: Ambrosia, Justin, Patrick and Michael, & seven grandchildren.
