Dennis J. Bopp, 62, of Spalding, NE, died unexpectedly Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2025, at St. Michael's Church in Spalding, NE with Fr. Lawrence Vadakkan officiating. Interment will follow at Dublin Cemetery at Primrose, NE. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Levander Funeral Home of Spalding, NE is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis James Bopp, son of Ronald M. and Mildred J. (Mackie) Bopp, was born August 28, 1962 at Albion, NE. He grew up in Spalding with his family where he attended Spalding Public School, graduating from Spalding High School.

Dennis married Mary Patricia Delancey at the Greeley County Court House on August 27, 1983. The couple made their home in Spalding, NE where they were blessed with two sons: Tyrone and Branden. Dennis was a mechanic and worked at Hillbill's Diesel for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, racing, spending time with his favorite dog Moose, and cruising around the countryside with the boys in old blue. Most of all, he loved his grandsons and spending time with them tinkering, building and fixing stuff with them.

Dennis is survived by his wife Mary of Spalding, NE; two sons: Ty (Tasha) Bopp of Fremont, NE; Branden (Debora) Bopp of Carol Stream, IL; three grandsons: Zachary and Nicholas of Fremont, NE; Theo of Carol Stream, IL; two brothers: John (Sharon) Bopp of Grand Island, NE; Dave Bopp of Spalding, NE; four sisters: Colleen Kasperbauer of St. Paul, NE; Betty (Gary) Ballentine of Fullerton, NE; Susie Bopp-Esch (Dave) of Columbus, NE; Paula (Pat) Bader of Genoa, NE; six brothers-in-law: Bob (Diane) DeLancey, Doug (Carrie) DeLancey, John DeLancey, Rich DeLancey, Dan DeLancey and Jim (Char) DeLancey; two sisters-in-law: Jean Wilcox and Kate Molt; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ron and Mildred Bopp; in-laws Eugene and Alice DeLancey; two brothers-in-law: Jerry Molt and John Wilcox; and sister-in-law Shelli DeLancey.
