Delmar H. Keehn, 93, of St. Edward, NE passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society, Albion, NE.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 26, 2022, at the United Methodist Church, St. Edward, NE with Rev. Vern Olson officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery, St. Edward, NE. Military rites will be conducted by Crosier American Legion Post #226 of St. Edward, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church.
Miller-Levander Funeral Home of St. Edward, NE is in charge of the arrangements.
Delmar Herman Keehn, son of Carl and Anna (Geisler) Keehn was born, October 3, 1928, at the family home in Gresham, Nebraska. He attended rural grade school near Stromsburg and Plum Center, Dist. #9, west of St. Edward, graduating from St. Edward High School with the class of 1946.
Delmar volunteered for the Army in 1951, serving in Korea, spending many days on the front lines with an infantry unit, later being discharged in 1953 as a corporal.
He was united in marriage to Marjorie Ann Shoebotham, August 7, 1954, at the Fullerton Catholic Church. They made their home on a farm south of St. Edward, raising their three sons, Randal, Bradley, and Kent. They celebrated their 68 th wedding anniversary, August 7, 2022.
Delmar was a member of the St. Edward United Methodist Church, he was also a member of the Post #226, St. Edward American Legion, Eagles and VFW. His interests were farming and raising livestock. He enjoyed spending time with his five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Delmar is survived by his wife Marjorie of Albion; sons: Bradley of Florida and Kent of Texas; daughter-in-law: Elizabeth Keehn of Belgrade; grandchildren: Joseph (Molly) of Belgrade, Clayton (Emma) of Fullerton, Alicia (Jeff) VanDeWalle of Randolph, Brandon (Stephanie) of Florida and Patrick (Michelle) of Louisiana; great-grandchildren: Ranee, Jordan, Taylor, Conner, Charles, Carter, Branton, Wyatt, Addison, Colton, Page, Vivian, Declan, Kloie, and Kaitlyn; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by son: Randal, parents, sisters: Dorothy (George) Heitman, Eileen (Don) Hoffer, Berniece (Gerald) Gress; brothers: Gerald (Dorothy), Lloyd (Gerry) and Vernon (Donna); granddaughter: Amber Keehn; daughters-in-law: Deborah Keehn and Diane Keehn.
